Health in 2020

How are you trying to be healthier in 2020? As we all know the new year is here and we are almost 2 weeks in the week of January. Do we take our health serious enough to make changes that will benefit us for the later years to come? It sounds easy., but it takes dedication and hard work. So let me list a few tips that can help you start your journey to getting healthier.

5 tips to getting healthier:

* Water: you should drink at least 8 glasses of water a day. It's great for your skin and it helps lower your food intake. If you drink water before you eat a meal, it will definitely full you quicker.

* Fruits and Vegetables: Try to have at least 2 of these on a daily basis because they are filled with so many vitamins, minerals and are low in calories.

* Excercise: Start an exercise regiment that is realistic for you. Start slow and build your routine. It doesn't matter what others are doing. You have to start at a pace that is suitable for you. Some cardio and gradually move to some weights to help build your muscles.

Sleep: Our body needs rest in order to be healthy as well. We need at least about 6-8 hours of sleep a day/night. When we are working those muscles and but a workout on your body you need to rest it.

Diet: You don't really need one just cut back on portion sizes and continue with your workout plan. The key is to keep moving so that when you get older you want issues with your bones and muscles so that you will be able to enjoy the rest of your life without having a  lot of issues most elderly people have when they get older.

Live Life: The one thing I can say is to make sure you live the life you want to live and do things you want to do before you leave this world, because once you're gone that's it. Make sure you spend time with your family and friends while you are getting healthy, they may even join you on your journey to becoming healthy.

I will embark on this journey with you because I want to be healthy like the rest of you and get serious. Take it one day at a time and remember to encourage yourself that you can do this and remind yourself that being healthy is important and I will work hard to achieve that. 

Not only will I look great but feel great too. Let's get to getting healthy!
